Great spot for a drink. They have some buy one get one happy hour specials. The outdoor seating is nicely placed for enjoying the weather and people watching. Only came in for a drink, so not sure how the food is. But I’m sure it’s good based on how many people were inside having a meal.
Very nice concept and excellent selection of comfort food. Refreshing cocktails. Very nice getaway in a heart of Shanghai.
A chain of brewery restaurants in shanghai. Wide range of food from pastas to burgers to steaks. Also good range of drinks like beer, wine, cocktails. Average food. Service varies with the staff
(I've worked in restaurant service for more than 10 years...I know all the tricks) Mondays 2 for 1 burgers is a pretty decent deal. Not the best burger I've ever had, but they are pretty good. Everything else is otherwise overpriced and not worth the cost especially when factoring in the mediocre service and poor bar tending. Since business was slow, I ordered a Mojito. I know it takes effort to muddle the mint leaves properly so I was polite enough to make sure the bartenders weren't busy before choosing something like a Mojito. However, it tasted like they put a dead plant in my drink. So I exchanged for a Moscow Mule which is pretty hard to f*ck up. ( for the record, Mojitos are a risky drink because they are highly dependent on the quality of the mint leaves AND the muddling technique of the bartender...not too hard, not too soft. A Moscow Mule is a squirt of lime juice, a shot of vodka, then fill the cup with ginger beer...the measurements don't need to be very precise ) They didn't have ginger beer to make a Moscow Mule. So they could've just told me and let me choose something else...but what they did instead was use an *already open* ginger ale (not ginger beer) to make it and just hope I didn't find out!!!! The drink was completely FLAT. Zero carbonation what-so-ever. I can only assume it was an opened drink from at least one day before. How else can it have zero carbonation?? I kept my cool and calmly asked to change to a Stella from the tap, because I didn't trust them to make anything else at this point. The manager spoke English so I told him my story because I didn't want him to think I'm one of those pain in @$$ customers who complain about everything...when I told him about the Mojito, he nodded like maybe he learned something about muddling...when I told him about the Moscow Mule he openly admitted that they gave me ginger ale and didn't show much remorse at all. I told him that it wasn't just the wrong ingredient, but it was probably opened yesterday or maybe the day before. I just nodded and looked down embarrassed!! The funniest part is they asked me to pay for the Moscow Mule, and offer to give me the Stella for free--as if they were doing me a favor!!! But the Mule is MORE THAN the Stella!!! On top of using expired mint leaves and expired ginger ale, they also try to scam me for a mere 5 rmb!!!!! Let me tell you why: Liquor, and things that come in cans like ginger beer and ginger ale are strictly kept track of. But beer from a keg? This is easy to steal from without getting caught. That is because many factors affect how much beer you can get from it. The keg needs to be transported carefully--shaking it is not good. Tapping the keg properly without any leakage and bartender pouring techniques all contribute to how much beer is lost from a keg. The reason the manager tried to scam me was not to make more money--scamming me is irrelevant to him. He just wanted to hide the evidence of the Moscow Mule mishap. BEWARE THIS STORE!
