Zunpin Beefsteak

The presentation of the food is excellent and quite rare to find in China, at least in Jangxi province. But the personnel is quite afraid of foreigners and doesn't speak a word in English. Exception made for one employee, a lady, probably the manger. She doesn't speak English, but is always willing to solve every problem. Amdbthe problem are quite many at Zunpin Steak of Jiangxi Fuzhou. The personnel ignores the proper order to follow for serving western food. This way you will have served the tiramisù cake (which is not even close to the real tiramisù) together with the pumpkin soup, at the beginning of the meal. The other dishes will follow randomly and will flow and spread on your table like a messy exhibition of culinary arts. Likely your spaghetti bolognese sauce will come after the salad and the steak, together with the coffee you ordered, that was supposed to go with your (remember?) slice of tiramisù cake, at the end of the meal. Why that? It's simple : Chinese still need to learn about the meaning of "respect of the other cultures". In fact whatever is Italian, Spanish, French or American is used (not utilised) in business for generating revenues with no concern about the traditions of the country that recipe comes from. Many times the western words are written in funny wrong way, ignoring the proper spelling and grammar. Moreover the seats are very uncomfortable because too low for the tables. Either they should low the tables or lift the seats. Not to mention Chinese customers who love to clean the throat loudly and to spit in the plate or on the floor, others who stare at you because foreigner or other who smoke in the restaurant, ignoring the notices on the walls. All in all the food can be even reviewed as delicious, if you remember to ask for more salt aside, but they are still not ready to serve customers who are not local. What a shame... They could do much better!

This chain restaurant is located on the second floor of a quiet shopping strip. The service was great. The food choices ranges from 50-200RMB but worth checking out. I believe they offer a simple free full course meal depending on what you ordered; most of it is for steak orders. They'll start off with soup and salad, then the main meal, followed by dessert. I really like it because they offered choices in types of salads, soup and dessert. For example you could have either vegetable salad of fruit etc... For the most part this is byfar my favorite place to go for western food in this city
