To celebrate a family's birthday, we placed a take-out order of a whole Peking Duck ($98). I confirmed over the phone that a 10% discount applied for take-out order and that I would pick it up at 5:30om that day. Then when my husband returned home with the order and receipt, I was surprised to see that no discount was given. I called to ask why but a lady kept repeating "no discount for credit card payment" without any apologetic tone. During the pandemic, discounts applied to take-out, more for self-pickup. The restaurant ignores promises to customers. My husband was very regretful to have given them $15 tips! Will never go back again.
This special restaurant is know for their Duck Dishes !I am not much a duck person ,,they been in business since 2017 , , I hear and read so many negative reviews about this restaurant ,one of my business associate invited me for her 70 years birthday dinner ! ,great ,that give me the opportunity to check it out , I am not a cheerleader or bandwagon jumper ! I will tell it like it is ,so I love eat out all the time 365 days ! and love to past any information to the member ,they have reopen for few weeks now ,I have no problem with their Safety plan , . the decor is upscale modern but not a luxurious place ! I am little surprise to see the VIP room is in a basement , I do not feel comfortable with less 20 people in a same room ,but every one doing a great job for social distance ,4 sq meters of floor space ,and air circulation very good , my associate per order the 12 course set dinner , ,their signature dish or main concept is DUCK ! it is a very large size bird ,the chef carved few feet's away , do a good job , the skin is crispy but oily ,the duck meat is lukewarm , some part is so dry ( now I know why so much bad reviews on the duck ! ,it is their secret cooking method ,short cut !! ) disappointed to say the steamed Lobster is very interesting taste , (NOT FRESH ?? ) and salty , over all .,all the dishes hit and miss ,too salty ,too oily , too spicy ,but it is there traditional Beijing cuisine authentic cooking style , ,that's why we get a lot of negative feel back , it is not a regular restaurant for every one ! service is okay ! ,it is worth the first time trying ,very expensive after that just a empty experienced !
