Id Kah Mosque stands as the heart of Islamic worship in Kashgar and the largest mosque in China. Its grand entrance and expansive courtyard, adorned with yellow tiles and intricate carvings, can accommodate thousands of worshippers. The mosque's history dates back over 500 years, though the current structure was rebuilt in the 19th century. Visitors can observe the serene prayer hall (non-Muslims may not enter during prayer times) and admire the fusion of Central Asian and Chinese architectural styles. The mosque is a focal point of community life, especially during Eid celebrations.
