Good selection of beers. Pils, Lager and craft. Reasonable pricing. Looks like a hipster, upscale place. Lots of books. Very sophisticated for BJ

It appears that this place is now closed. But I just wanted to explain what this place once was (if it is not this, it is not there): this was once a beautiful, book-filled refuge for expats. You would walk in an be in an intellectual setting, a comfortable downstairs with nice food, book-lined walls; a small stage where expats played acoustic sets. There was a nice bar that had season drinks like mulled wine and nice food.nThe books downstairs were part of the massive lending library. If you walked upstairs, you'd again be surrounded by books, which were also part of the lending library. The upstairs had tables for reading, and was quiet. You could bring a beer up and read for as long as you'd like. I read books in one sitting there while slowly sipping a draught from the tap downstairs. They had a bookshop up there and also had writers in residence who gave readings. If the utopia I am describing is not there, then the bookworm is not there. It was a really welcoming place, and I remember nights, when snow was falling, sitting upstairs listening to acoustic music and reading books that I pulled off the shelf. They had a fantastic English-language collection. Really sad if it's not still there.

We went to the place (very hard to find) and there was no english name on the outside. We went inside to ask if it was tje Bookworm and they didn't speak english or wanted to look at the chinese address. After looking at the pictures on TripAdvisor it sure was the place but we think it is closed or has a new owner that does some renovations.
