Our 16 course menu was expertly designed and uniquely curated. The creativity of the chefs was on display!. The service was superb and the staff was very efficient and friendly. The restaurant is designed with an open design, and feels somewhat casual and elegant at the same time. Not too miss experience in Santiago.
Second time here, and it never disappoints. The food is interesting, eclectic, and delicious. I’d avoid if you don’t eat seafood, but experience is virtually unmatched. Staff is kind and knowledgeable, and I love the open kitchen. Second time around it was a Spring menu, first it was Summer. Can’t wait to enjoy the other two.
A great experience overall - BUT!! One of the current photos on Trip Advisor is the "Easter Island course" a piece of yellow finned tuna and a Rapa Nui fish on blue squiggles! I nearly choked on a bone, we had not been warned there could be bones in it and then I found another 2, in a pretty small triangle of fried fish! Our server said he would tell the kitchen, but no one came to apologize or to explain their presence. This was not the only demonstration of poor knife skills on this 2 item course, one son had a nice piece of tuna like the one in the picture, thick and perfectly cooked - my husband and other son had thin pieces that were over cooked and dry. Mine was thick close to the stick and cooked OK but the thin part was overcooked and dry! Another course was some seafood and a soup in a splendid shell with an ice bowl underneath, my shell hd a hole in it so the soup had leaked out onto the ice bowl, froze and was difficult to eat with the small fork provided! Some of the courses were very inventive and tasty, others were so processed that the taste and texture of the oyster for example was lost. Our daughter-in-law does. not eat fish or seafood, and was mushroomed out by the end of the meal!! They made a big fuss about the lamb being cooked the other way up, at least it was. not overcooked, but not special either. The wines were excellent, and my husband had the inventive non alcoholic cocktails, which he mostly enjoyed, until he got the bill!!
You must love seafood and different seafoods. They did a less seafood oriented menu for my wife and it was amazing. The presentation of the food was second to none. Service amazing. We did the wine pairing and it was substandard. A splash of wine for 3 courses. Don’t bother with this and order a white and red bottle.
