Terevaka, at 507 meters, is the highest volcano on Easter Island. The hike to the summit takes about 1.5 hours each way across grassy slopes and past grazing horses. At the top, you're rewarded with unobstructed panoramic views of the entire island, including the coastline and nearby islets. The trail is challenging due to wind and sun exposure, but the sense of accomplishment and the photo opportunities make it worthwhile. It's a must-do for adventurous visitors wanting to grasp the island's full scale.
