Ana Kai Tangata is a sea cave on the coast near Hanga Roa, famous for its well-preserved rock art depicting the birdman cult. The cave's ceiling features paintings of manutara (sooty terns) and other symbols in red and white, dating from the 13th to 17th centuries. The cave opens to the ocean, where waves crash against the rocks, creating a dramatic setting. It's a short walk from the road, and the site offers a glimpse into the island's mysterious past. The cave is protected, so you view the paintings from a platform.
