Wasaga Beach Provincial Park preserves the unique dune ecosystem and the world's longest freshwater beach along Georgian Bay. The park is divided into several areas, each offering different experiences: Beach Areas 1-6 provide swimming and sunbathing, while the interior features hiking trails through dunes and wetlands. Birdwatchers can spot species like the piping plover, which nests in the park. Interpretive signs explain the ecological significance of the dunes, and the park's natural beauty contrasts with the bustling beach areas.

Don't miss

  • Hike the Dunes Trail to see rare plant species and panoramic views of Georgian Bay.
  • Look for the endangered piping plover along the shoreline during nesting season (spring–summer).
  • Explore the wetland boardwalk in the park's interior for a peaceful nature experience.
