Really tasty food. Nice atmosphere. The large table is a bit tricky to get in and out of but that's the reality of a large group at a smaller place. Friendly staff and good service. I didn't get to try the beer since I was DD but I hope to get the chance to return and try it. The brisket sandwich was delicious. Although my friend's steak was presented a bit messier than it could've been but she loved the taste regardless.
I've honestly gone to The Wren so many times I can't count. At this point it's the restaurant I've visited the most times in Toronto. The food is always amazing, never had a single mediocre dish let alone a bad one. They have daily specials which are always fun and tasty and a nice switch up. Fantastic craft beer selection. Very nice staff. Portions always great, price always on point. I have nothing bad to say about the Wren and only high praise. Definitely check it out, or don't, so that I can still find a spot every time I stop by.
I have been to The Wren many times and I thought it was time to take the time to review it! I LOVE this place. PERIOD. EVERYTHING about it.
Great little hole-in-the-wall local bar ....which is great for them as it keeps this gem somewhat hidden and to themselves. But we did manage to have a delightful meal and some great local beer (MUDDY YORK Gaslight Helles Lager $7.50).h The SWEET SOY & SAMBAL FRIED DUMPLINGS ($14) were crisp with just a hint of heat...but watch out for the HOT jalapeno pepper slices!!!! The DWAYNE & JOSH BURGER ($20) was massive and delicious with a big side of double crispy fries....just the way I like 'em...without even asking!!!! LUCKY LOCALS!!!!
