Had a really nice time here, the service was great and the food was quite nice. Portion sizes are respectable and the flavours were good, you can tell the produce is fresh. Favourites were surprisingly the fried olives and beef tripe appetizers. I could see myself coming back here.
Outstanding service, incredible wines and cocktail selections and the food takes the cup. Refined and so delicious. Staff is incredibly friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable. We will come back and will highly recommend it to family and friends. Thank you for taking such good care of us!
We started with prosciutto which was sliced much thicker than I’d ever seen, very pale pink, and it was dry, had the taste and texture more like deli ham slices - and the volume of the serving was a bit over the top. We have had prosciutto in New York, Rome, Florence and it’s often a melt in your mouth experience - this was not. Needless to say, when a server failed to return with our leftover portion as promised we weren’t terribly upset. My husband’s risotto & lobster entree was incredible. Mine, so forgettable two weeks later I literally can’t remember what I had. We ended with desserts that were just Ok - too many had nuts so our options were limited. The surroundings are minimalist style - nothing pleasing to the eye. We tried it, not sure why it receives rave reviews, there is better in Toronto if you want Italian food.
Not worth the hype. Cocktails are average at best and certainly not worth $25-30. Better to go next door to Lardo! There is better Italian food next door or throughout little Italy. Service is poor. Waiter said we need to order more and all at once because the chef needs a minimum 2 dishes per person and all orders need to be on one chit. Never heard of anything more ridiculous! Save your time and money, go elsewhere
