Loyalist House is a National Historic Site built in 1810 for the Merritt family, United Empire Loyalists. This Georgian-style mansion features period rooms with original furnishings, including a grand staircase, formal parlors, and a kitchen with open hearth. Visitors can tour the house to see artifacts such as china, textiles, and furniture from the early 1800s. The museum provides insight into the domestic life of Saint John's Loyalist founders.
