If you’re craving authentic Brazilian pastéis, Pastel de Maria is the place to be. Famous for their crispy, golden pastry filled with a variety of delicious options, this spot is a must-visit for foodies in São Paulo.
Very nice place to have the pastel as a meal. The special ones are relatively large. If you eat not to much, they work as a whole meal. They serve several types of drinks. Soda, juice (orange is fresh), dellVale cans, caldo de cana among other juice flavors. Price is ok, not too expensive. I paid R$15,- for the special. (~US$3,- in the currently currency). Three options: carne, frango and palmito. Sauces are very good as well. The “green sauce” is delicious. Good work for pandemic restrictions: mandatory masks and spaces tables indoors. Recommended, if you’re around.
Sempre ouvi falar bem mas nunca tinha comido, pastel sequinho massa boa porém pouquíssimo recheio, comorei uma coxinha pq o pastel é bem fraco. Para minha surpresa a coxinha que era linda na vitrine nao tinha sabor de nada! Faltava sal e outros temperos, o caldo de cana com suco artificial de abacaxi e totalmente sem gelo. Primeira e última vez.
O melhor pastel que já comemos. Muito bem recheado. Massa bem fresquinha. Há tem o caldo de cana que é ótimo. Amamos o pastel de calabresa.
