Teatro Arthur Azevedo is one of Brazil's oldest theaters, inaugurated in 1817 and named after the renowned playwright Arthur Azevedo. Its neoclassical facade and ornate interior, including a horseshoe-shaped auditorium and frescoed ceiling, make it a cultural landmark in São Luís.
