Mineirão, officially Estádio Governador Magalhães Pinto, is one of Brazil's largest football stadiums, located in the Pampulha region of Belo Horizonte. Opened in 1965, it underwent extensive renovations for the 2014 FIFA World Cup, adding a modern roof and improved facilities. During the World Cup, it hosted six matches, including a semifinal, and later served as a venue for football events during the 2016 Summer Olympics. The stadium is home to Cruzeiro and Atlético Mineiro, and its circular design ensures excellent views from every seat. Visitors can take guided tours that include the pitch, locker rooms, and a museum dedicated to Brazilian football history.
