Višegrad is a small town in eastern Bosnia and Herzegovina, best known for its magnificent 16th-century Ottoman bridge, Mehmed Paša Sokolović Bridge, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The bridge's 11 elegant stone arches span the emerald Drina River, immortalized in Ivo Andrić's novel 'The Bridge on the Drina.' Visitors can walk across the bridge, explore the old town's cobbled streets and Ottoman-era houses, and enjoy river views from nearby cafes. The town also features an Andrić museum and a traditional stone fountain at the bridge entrance.
