La Gleize is a small, picturesque village in the Belgian Ardennes, part of the Spa municipality. It is best known for its deep connection to the Battle of the Bulge in December 1944. The village houses the December 44 Museum, which offers a detailed and immersive look into the harsh winter battle. The centerpiece is a fully preserved King Tiger tank, one of the few remaining in the world, sitting outdoors as a memorial. Visitors can walk the quiet streets, see the historic church, and feel the somber history that lingers. The museum contains authentic artifacts, uniforms, and personal stories, making it a poignant stop for history enthusiasts.
