Ali Amjad's Clock is a towering timepiece erected in 1874, making it one of the oldest clocks in Bangladesh. Named after the then-landlord Ali Amjad Khan, the clock tower stands in the center of Sylhet, its white facade and four clock faces a familiar landmark. The clock still chimes on the hour, a nostalgic sound for locals. Visitors can view it from the street, photograph its Victorian-era architecture, and appreciate its role as a symbol of Sylhet's colonial past.
