Qal'at al-Bahrain, also known as the Bahrain Fort, is a UNESCO World Heritage site that reveals over four millennia of human occupation. The prominent Portuguese fort, built in the 16th century, crowns a tell (artificial mound) containing remains from the Dilmun, Tylos, and Islamic periods. Visitors can walk through the fort's ramparts, towers, and rooms, then explore the excavated settlement layers and a museum displaying artifacts such as pottery, seals, and tools. The site offers panoramic views of the surrounding landscape and sea.
