The Eboardmuseum is a one-of-a-kind museum dedicated entirely to electronic keyboard instruments, from vintage synthesizers to modern digital pianos. Located in a former factory building near Klagenfurt's city center, the museum houses over 1,000 instruments, many of which are still playable. Visitors are encouraged to touch and play the exhibits, making it an interactive experience unlike any other. The collection spans the history of electronic music, including rare Moog synthesizers, Hammond organs, Mellotrons, and iconic instruments used by famous artists like Kraftwerk and Jean-Michel Jarre. The museum is divided into thematic rooms, such as the 'Analog Room' with modular synths and the 'Digital Room' with early samplers and workstations. Knowledgeable staff (often musicians themselves) give informal demonstrations and share stories about the instruments. The museum also hosts live concerts and workshops, adding a dynamic element. It's a paradise for music lovers, musicians, and anyone curious about the technology behind electronic sounds.
