The Best New Zealand Restaurant in Melbourne

✨ HighlightA thoroughly impressive dinner menu and cocktail/wine range. Bar Liberty is a great venue if you’re looking to have an intimate dinner and drinks. I was really impressed by the quality of the food and flavour profiles of each of the dishes. The wholemeal sourdough was light and fluffy, the coral trout was had a great freshness and acidity to it that you look for in a seafood cerviche, the potato dumplings had such an interesting (good) texture with nice subtle flavours from the cheddar and sauces, the meat dish was seasoned very well and cooked to a perfect medium rare and the polpete has such a rich, juicy flavour profile. This was one of the best wine bar experiences I’ve had in Melbourne. The cocktails were very nice, and included some modern/novel takes on traditional cocktails and the staff were excellent. They were never too far away and took pride in the business’ work. The venue itself was nice and intimate and definitely one to think of if you’re looking to have a solid catch up with friends or family.→
