The Bendigo Botanic Gardens, established in 1857, are among Victoria's oldest botanic gardens and are listed on the Victorian Heritage Register. Set on 14 hectares along the Bendigo Creek, the gardens feature a stunning array of plant collections, including exotic trees, roses, and native Australian species. The highlight is the elegant white conservatory, which houses seasonal floral displays and tropical plants. Visitors can wander through the fernery, explore the sensory garden, or relax by the ornamental lake. The gardens also contain historic structures like the original curator's cottage and a bandstand. With its lush lawns and shaded pathways, it's a serene spot for a stroll or a quiet afternoon.
