The Palace of Sultan Mas'ud III is an archaeological site that reveals the splendor of Ghaznavid royal architecture. Excavations have uncovered a large rectangular complex with a central courtyard, iwans (vaulted halls), and intricate brick decoration, including star-shaped tiles and carved stucco. Visitors can walk among the excavated foundations and imagine the sultan's court in session. The site offers a rare glimpse into the domestic and ceremonial life of the Ghaznavid elite, distinct from the more militaristic citadel.
