The Japanese Covered Bridge is Hội An's most iconic landmark, built in the 1590s by the Japanese community to connect the town with the Chinese quarter. This gracefully arched wooden bridge spans a small canal and is topped with a pagoda, making it a unique architectural blend. Inside, visitors can see a small temple dedicated to the deities Tran Vo Bac De, with statues of a dog and monkey guarding the entrance. The bridge's weathered beams and ornate carvings evoke centuries of history.

  • Admire the intricate wood carvings and the pagoda perched atop the bridge.
  • Look for the statues of a dog and monkey at the entrance, said to guard the bridge.
