Hoàn Kiếm Lake, or Lake of the Returned Sword, is a serene oasis in the bustling heart of Hanoi. According to legend, Emperor Lê Lợi returned a magical sword to a golden turtle here. Visitors can walk along tree-lined paths, cross the iconic red Huc Bridge to Ngoc Son Temple on a small island, and admire the Turtle Tower perched on a islet. The lake is especially enchanting at dawn when locals practice tai chi, and at night when it's illuminated.
