Château Neercanne is a stunning 17th-century castle set in a picturesque valley just outside Maastricht. Built in 1698, it is the only terraced castle in the Netherlands, with cascading gardens that overlook the Jeker River. The castle now operates as a high-end restaurant and event space, offering visitors a chance to dine in historic rooms or on the terrace with views of the formal gardens. The grounds include a grotto, an orangery, and a vineyard. While the interior is primarily reserved for diners and private events, the gardens and exterior are accessible to the public, making it a lovely spot for a stroll or a special meal.
