Xingqinggong Park is a 743-acre city park in Xi'an, built in 1958 on the former site of the Tang Dynasty's Xingqing Palace. It is the largest park in Xi'an's city proper. The park features 150 acres of Xingqing Lake and the Chenxiang Pavilion, a Tang Dynasty-style building on an island in the lake.

역사 이야기
The site was originally Longqing Fang, where Li Longji (Emperor Xuanzong of Tang) lived with his five brothers before becoming emperor. After he took the throne, it became the Xingqing Palace, a political center during his reign. The palace was destroyed by the end of the Tang Dynasty, and by the early Qing Dynasty the area had become farmland. In 1957, the site was listed as a cultural relic protection unit of Shaanxi Province. The park was built in 1958 to support the westward relocation of Xi'an Jiaotong University.
