The Yokohama Museum of Art, founded in 1989, is located in the futuristic Minato Mirai 21 district next to the Yokohama Landmark Tower. The building was designed by Pritzker Prize-winning architect Kenzo Tange and features an airy, well-lit interior with an 18-meter-tall main hall and a glass ceiling. The museum's collection includes works by modern artists such as Constantin Brâncuși, Paul Cézanne, Salvador Dalí, and Pablo Picasso, with especially strong holdings in Dadaist and Surrealist works.
