Il Gallo Lungo is the largest of the three Li Galli islands, located just off the Amalfi Coast near Sorrento. This rocky islet is renowned for its striking silhouette and the remains of a Roman villa, later expanded into a private residence. Visitors can admire it from boat tours departing from Sorrento or Positano, as the island itself is privately owned and not open to the public. The crystal-clear waters surrounding it are perfect for swimming and snorkeling. The island's name, meaning 'the long rooster,' reflects its elongated shape. Its dramatic cliffs and lush Mediterranean vegetation create a picturesque scene against the blue sea.
