Un po' di storia

The site was originally Longqing Fang, where Li Longji (Emperor Xuanzong of Tang) lived with his five brothers before becoming emperor. After he took the throne, it became the Xingqing Palace, a political center during his reign. The palace was destroyed by the end of the Tang Dynasty, and by the early Qing Dynasty the area had become farmland. In 1957, the site was listed as a cultural relic protection unit of Shaanxi Province. The park was built in 1958 to support the westward relocation of Xi'an Jiaotong University.
