Clew Bay Heritage Centre

Clew Bay Heritage Centre is a small but well-curated museum located in a former church on the outskirts of Westport, just a short stroll from the quay. The centre offers a deep dive into the history of the Westport area, from prehistoric times through the Middle Ages to the 20th century. Exhibits include displays on the region's maritime heritage, the infamous pirate queen Grace O'Malley (Granuaile), the Great Famine, and the development of Westport as a planned estate town.
