Versova Beach is a long stretch of sand along the Arabian Sea in the Versova neighborhood of Andheri West, Mumbai. It has gained attention in recent years due to massive volunteer-led cleanup drives that have transformed parts of the beach from a dumping ground into a more pleasant public space. Visitors come to stroll along the shore, watch fishermen at work, and enjoy vibrant sunsets that paint the sky in shades of orange and pink. The beach is also a hub for local vendors selling snacks like bhel puri and coconut water. However, water quality remains a concern, and swimming is not recommended. The atmosphere is lively, especially on weekends when families and groups gather. Despite its challenges, Versova Beach offers a genuine slice of Mumbai coastal life, with views of the Bandra-Worli Sea Link in the distance.
