Sung Wong Toi is a historic site in Kowloon City featuring a large boulder with three Chinese characters carved into it, meaning 'Terrace of the Song Kings.' The inscription marks the area where the last emperor of the Southern Song dynasty, Emperor Bing, is said to have stayed while fleeing Mongol invaders in the 13th century. Today, the boulder is preserved in a small garden park, surrounded by modern buildings. Visitors can view the carving up close and read interpretive panels that explain the site's significance.
