Mont Boron is a 200-meter-high hill on the southeastern edge of Nice, offering a natural escape with dense Mediterranean vegetation and sweeping views of the city, the port, and the coastline towards Villefranche-sur-Mer. The hill is crisscrossed with walking and hiking trails that wind through pine and oak forests, leading to viewpoints and the 16th-century Fort du Mont Alban. The fort, built by the Duke of Savoy, is a well-preserved star-shaped fortress that can be visited on certain days. From the summit, visitors can see the entire Baie des Anges, the Cap Ferrat peninsula, and the Alps in the distance. The park is popular with joggers, families, and nature lovers. Unlike the crowded Promenade des Anglais, Mont Boron offers peace and fresh air, with benches and picnic spots along the trails.
