Lake Viljandi is a serene body of water nestled in a valley, bordered by lush parks and walking trails. The lake is a hub for outdoor activities: visitors can rent rowboats or paddleboats, swim at designated beaches, or simply relax on the grassy shores with a picnic. A well-maintained promenade circles the lake, offering stunning views of the Viljandi Castle ruins perched on the opposite bank. In winter, the frozen lake becomes a popular spot for ice skating and winter walks.
