Deir el-Bahari is a stunning mortuary temple complex nestled against the Theban cliffs. The centerpiece is Queen Hatshepsut's terraced temple, with its elegant colonnades and ramps blending into the rock. Nearby lie the temples of Mentuhotep II and Thutmose III, though less intact. Visitors ascend through three levels, passing reliefs of Hatshepsut's divine birth and expedition to Punt. The site's dramatic setting and architectural innovation make it a highlight of Luxor's west bank.
