The Prague astronomical clock, or Orloj, is a medieval marvel installed in 1410 on the southern wall of the Old Town Hall. It features an astronomical dial showing the position of the sun and moon, a calendar dial, and moving figurines of the Apostles and other characters. Every hour from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m., crowds gather to watch the procession of the Twelve Apostles and the striking of the bell. The clock is a masterpiece of medieval engineering and a symbol of Prague.
