Christ of Havana

The Christ of Havana is a towering 20-meter white marble statue that stands on a hill in Casablanca, across the bay from Old Havana. Sculpted by Jilma Madera and inaugurated in 1958, it gazes protectively over the city. Visitors can climb a spiral staircase inside the pedestal for a close-up view of the figure and enjoy sweeping vistas of Havana, the harbor, and the Malecón. The site is a popular spot for photos and quiet reflection.
