Knox Mountain Park is a 245-hectare natural area just north of downtown Kelowna, offering a network of trails that wind through grasslands and forests. The main attraction is the summit, which provides sweeping views of the city, Okanagan Lake, and the surrounding vineyards. Hikers can choose from easy lakeside walks or more challenging climbs like the 4.5-kilometer Apex Trail. The park is also a haven for birdwatchers and wildlife enthusiasts, with deer and eagles commonly spotted along the paths.
Don't miss
- Apex Trail hike to the summit for 360-degree views of Kelowna and the lake
- Paul's Tomb Trail, a moderate hike leading to a secluded beach and cave
- Wildlife viewing, keep an eye out for mule deer and red-tailed hawks
