The Alyosha Monument is a 12-meter-tall concrete statue of a Soviet soldier standing on Bunarjik Hill, one of Plovdiv's seven hills. Erected in the 1950s, it commemorates the Soviet soldiers who died in World War II. The monument is a distinctive landmark visible from much of the city, and its hilltop location provides sweeping views of Plovdiv's skyline and the surrounding mountains. Visitors climb a long staircase to reach the base, where they can appreciate both the imposing statue and the scenic panorama. The site is a popular spot for photography and quiet reflection.
