Palácio da Alvorada is the official residence of the President of Brazil, set on a peninsula jutting into Lake Paranoá. Designed by Oscar Niemeyer, the building is a masterpiece of modernist architecture, with clean lines, large glass panels, and a reflecting pool. Its name means 'Palace of the Dawn' due to the beautiful morning light. While the interior is not open to the public, visitors can view the exterior from a distance and appreciate its elegant silhouette against the lake. The surrounding grounds feature native landscaping.
