Neue Burg is a monumental section of the Hofburg Palace complex in Vienna, Austria, built in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. It houses several world-class museums, including the Ephesus Museum, the Collection of Historic Musical Instruments, and the Armoury. The building itself is an architectural marvel, with a grand facade and a sweeping colonnade overlooking Heldenplatz. Visitors can explore artifacts from ancient Ephesus, marvel at Renaissance and Baroque instruments once played by Mozart and Beethoven, and view an extensive collection of armor and weapons from the Habsburg era. The museums are well-curated, offering deep dives into European history and culture. The location in the heart of Vienna makes it easy to combine with a visit to the rest of the Hofburg or nearby attractions like the Spanish Riding School.
