Our Lady of Meritxell is the spiritual heart of Andorra, a sanctuary dedicated to the country's patron saint. The original 12th-century Romanesque chapel burned down in 1972, and the replacement, designed by architect Ricardo Bofill, blends contemporary stone and glass with traditional elements. Visitors can explore the open-air plaza, the modern church with its dramatic bell tower, and the small museum housing the original statue of the Virgin. The site offers panoramic mountain views and a serene atmosphere for reflection.
