Estany de l'Illa is a high-altitude glacial lake nestled in the Madriu-Perafita-Claror Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage site in Andorra. Surrounded by steep granite cliffs and alpine meadows, the lake's crystal-clear waters reflect the rugged peaks above. Visitors typically reach it via a challenging hike from the nearby village of Ransol or through the Col de Beixalis pass. The area is a haven for nature lovers, offering solitude, diverse flora, and the chance to see ibex or golden eagles. The lake itself is a popular spot for picnics and photography.
