The Victoria Falls Bridge is a remarkable feat of engineering, designed by Sir Ralph Freeman and completed in 1905 as part of Cecil Rhodes' Cape-to-Cairo railway dream. The 198-meter-long steel arch bridge crosses the Zambezi River just below the falls, connecting Zambia and Zimbabwe. Visitors can walk across the bridge for stunning views of the gorge and the falls' spray. It is also a hub for adventure activities, including bungee jumping (one of the highest in the world at 111 meters), zip-lining, and gorge swings. The bridge's history and architecture make it a must-see landmark.

Don't miss

  • Walk across the bridge to the Zimbabwe side for a classic view of Victoria Falls from the eastern cataract.
