Duong Dong Airport, located near the island's main town, served as Phu Quoc's primary air hub until the opening of the new international airport. Today, it handles domestic flights from Ho Chi Minh City and other Vietnamese destinations, plus general aviation. The small terminal offers basic amenities. While less busy than the international airport, it provides a convenient option for travelers arriving from within Vietnam.
