Linh Ung Pagoda on Son Tra Peninsula is one of the most revered Buddhist sites in Da Nang. Perched on a hillside, the pagoda complex is dominated by a 67-meter-tall white statue of Quan Am (Goddess of Mercy), often called Lady Buddha, which stands facing the East Sea as a symbol of protection for fishermen and the city. The statue is visible from miles away and is a popular pilgrimage site. The pagoda grounds include a main hall with intricate carvings, a bell tower, and gardens with bonsai trees. Visitors can climb the stairs to the base of the statue for sweeping views of the coastline, the city, and the Son Tra Mountains. The atmosphere is serene, with the sound of chanting and the scent of incense. The pagoda is part of a larger complex that includes other temples and a monastery, making it a peaceful retreat from the city.
