Son Tra Mountain, also known as Monkey Mountain, is a lush peninsula jutting into the East Sea, just northeast of Da Nang. This 693-meter-high natural reserve is a haven for biodiversity, home to the endangered red-shanked douc langur and over 200 species of birds and plants. Visitors can drive or hike along winding roads through dense tropical forest, stopping at viewpoints like Ban Co Peak for breathtaking vistas of Da Nang Bay and the Marble Mountains. The area also features pristine beaches, such as Bai But and Bai Rang, ideal for a quiet swim. At the summit, the 67-meter-tall Linh Ung Pagoda statue of Guanyin stands as a spiritual landmark, visible from across the city. Whether you're a nature lover, photographer, or adventurer, Son Tra offers a serene escape from urban bustle.
