The Basilica of Santa Capilla, built between 1883 and 1896, is a rare example of Gothic Revival architecture in Caracas. Its pointed arches, ribbed vaults, and colorful stained glass create a dramatic contrast to the surrounding neoclassical buildings. The church was originally part of a hospital complex and is dedicated to the Holy Trinity. Visitors are often surprised by the ornate interior, which includes intricate woodwork and a series of murals.
