Punta del Este Lighthouse, built in 1860, stands on the tip of the peninsula and provides sweeping views of the Atlantic Ocean, the Río de la Plata, and the surrounding beaches. Visitors can climb the spiral staircase to the top for a 360-degree panorama. The lighthouse is still active, guiding ships, and its white tower is a prominent landmark. Nearby, the small maritime museum offers insights into local nautical history.
